The Neverending Stage: My Teaching Journey
Let's be honest, the classroom is like a stage - full of potential for drama (but hopefully the good kind!). And the best part? You learn just as much as you teach. My love for sharing knowledge couldn't be contained, so I spent years lighting up non-profit theater institutions in Iran with courses on acting theory and practice.

New Season, New Stage: University Teaching
Then, in the spring of 2020, Drizhno University of Arts in Shahrekord offered me a chance to graduate to the university stage! There, I explored both sides of the coin - diving deep into theory courses like Drama in Iran and Contemporary Performance Studies, while also getting hands-on with practical classes like Voice, Dance, and Stage Directing. But life loves throwing curveballs, and 2020 brought the challenge of online teaching at Kamal-ol-Molk University. As someone who thrived on the live energy of the classroom, this was a whole new performance! Let's just say, it was an adventure navigating acting and directing lessons through the digital world.

However, the show must go on!
Since arriving in America at Ohio University, I've continued to explore new teaching roles. From Spring 2021, I became a trusty teaching assistant, guiding students through the fascinating world of theater history. Spring 2022 saw me expanding my repertoire - while still a TA, I also became an instructor of the course "Viewing the Arts." And from 2024, I'll be taking on a new challenge: delving into the world of 21st-century American avant-garde playwrights with my students.

This, my friends, is just the first act of my teaching journey. For a full playbill of my courses, head over to my resume!
